About the Position

We are seeking a Manager or Senior Manager for Sourcing located at the Doddaballapur Industrial Area, Bangalore Rural. This role reports directly to the Supply Chain / VP of Sourcing & SCM. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Engineering, preferably in Electronics, with 8-12 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, and supply chain management within the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement sourcing strategies to procure electronic, electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical components.
  • Identify, assess, and onboard new suppliers by evaluating quality, cost, delivery, technology, and capacity metrics.
  • Manage the Request for Quote (RFQ) process including turnaround times, commercial negotiations, supplier selection, and purchase terms finalization.
  • Promote localization and develop alternative sources to mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Lead pricing negotiations covering payment terms, minimum order quantities, lead times, tooling/non-recurring engineering fees, and other commercial factors.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with key suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Monitor supplier performance against Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Service (QCDS) standards.
  • Conduct regular supplier evaluations and initiate corrective actions to address delivery and performance challenges.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to improve lead times, production capacity, allocation, and delivery commitments; proactively escalate and resolve critical supply-related concerns.
  • Partner with Engineering and NPI teams for component sourcing on new product development projects, supporting BOM reviews, RFQs, sample procurement, prototype assembly, and ensuring readiness for mass production.
  • Analyze BOM costs, market trends, commodity price fluctuations, foreign exchange impacts, and supplier pricing to drive annual cost reduction efforts.
  • Identify savings opportunities through alternative sourcing, localization, value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE), volume consolidation, and negotiating advantageous commercial terms.
  • Track and achieve targeted annual cost savings goals.
  • Manage supply continuity and risk by monitoring long lead-time and critical components, devising mitigation plans, securing adequate capacity and supply commitments, and developing alternate sourcing for high-risk parts.
  • Support business continuity plans and supply risk mitigation initiatives.
  • Negotiate commercial contracts including payment and logistics terms alongside finance to optimize working capital and supplier payment conditions.
  • Ensure all procurement aligns with approved budgets and commercial objectives, including support for supplier agreements and contract documentation.

Candidate Profile and Skills

  • B.E. or B.Tech degree in Electronics engineering.
  • 8-12 years of demonstrated success in sourcing and procurement, preferably in the EMS sector.
  • Expertise sourcing electronic components, mechanical parts, PCB assemblies, cable harnesses, electromechanical components, or similar products.
  • Experience collaborating with semiconductor manufacturers, authorized distributors, and both local and global suppliers.
  • Strong negotiation capabilities and experience in supplier relationship and performance management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of BOM costing, lead times, MOQ requirements, capacity planning, and supply chain risk control.
  • Experience handling sourcing activities during NPI/NPD phases and scaling for mass production.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and excel in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

Working Conditions and Additional Details

This is a full-time position located onsite at the Doddaballapur Industrial Area with a six-day workweek.
