The Transfer Pricing Practice

Our transfer pricing specialists deliver innovative and strategic solutions to complex tax issues, working as a national team with a strong, supportive culture. We serve a diverse client base including large multinational corporations and fast-growing businesses across various sectors, partnering closely with international and corporate tax experts both in New Zealand and overseas.

Job Opportunity

We are seeking experienced transfer pricing professionals with at least six years in the field to join our expanding team. This full-time role requires a minimum commitment of 37.5 hours per week and offers the chance to work alongside market-leading experts within a welcoming team culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance your transfer pricing expertise through engagement in challenging, multifaceted projects spanning various industries, collaborating with KPMG’s global network to provide comprehensive transfer pricing advice addressing multi-jurisdictional requirements.
  • Conduct transfer pricing studies and analyses to assist clients in complying with international transfer pricing regulations amid evolving tax environments.
  • Manage client relationships effectively by responding promptly to inquiries and understanding their business needs and risk exposures related to transfer pricing.
  • Support tax authority disputes and Advance Pricing Agreement (APA) applications by preparing necessary submissions and responses.
  • Oversee engagement budgets to consistently meet profitability and organizational objectives.
  • Provide leadership by managing junior staff performance, allocating work, and fostering their professional development.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements of internal systems and processes.

Required Qualifications and Attributes

  • At least 5 years of transfer pricing experience within a professional services environment.
  • Relevant academic background such as a degree in accounting, finance, economics, or law.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective rapport with clients, colleagues, and leadership.
  • Proven experience in people management and team leadership.
  • Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated project management skills specifically for transfer pricing engagements.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving proficiency.
  • Self-motivated with initiative and a high degree of professionalism.
