CrowdStrike is a worldwide cybersecurity leader dedicated to protecting the vital people, processes, and technologies fundamental to modern organizations. Established since 2011, our mission of preventing breaches continues to drive us as we redefine security through our advanced AI-native platform. Our infrastructure handles nearly 3 trillion daily events, supporting customers from various industries who rely on us to secure their operations and communities. As a mission-driven employer leveraging AI for transformation, we value flexibility, autonomy, and responsible innovation in our colleagues.
Role Overview
This leadership position involves managing the Enterprise Sales Engineering team and guiding the technical sales strategy within your assigned territory. You will serve as the technical counterpart to the Regional Sales Director, jointly owning the territory and ensuring comprehensive technical campaign management that results in qualified technical wins.
Approximately 25% of your duties include outward-facing activities, such as presenting at industry events, leading executive roundtables, producing technical content, and shaping market perspectives on modern security. The position is hybrid and open to candidates based in Sydney or Canberra.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical sales campaign by owning the technical sales strategy, maintaining technical narratives for forecasts and deal reviews, and supervising technical evaluations from qualification through to technical win certification.
- Coordinate technical resources across sales engineers, product specialists, threat intelligence, professional services, support, and partners to provide a seamless customer technical experience.
- Manage team capacity, delegate effectively, and identify resourcing or capability risks proactively.
- Provide operational management including performance reviews, career planning, coaching, and development-focused feedback to empower team growth.
- Engage personally with senior technical customer interactions and use industry insights to influence customer security strategies beyond product features.
- Represent CrowdStrike publicly through presentations, content authorship, participation in executive roundtables, and support of analyst and partner engagements.
- Collaborate closely with sales counterparts to align strategies, pipelines, technical risks, and execute business reviews.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing technical sales or pre-sales teams, including distributed teams.
- Substantial pre-sales expertise and deep cybersecurity knowledge covering endpoint, identity, cloud environments, and modern security operations.
- Proven record of steering complex enterprise technical evaluations to successful technical wins while maintaining scope and quality.
- Ability to communicate effectively across varying audiences, from technical architects to senior executives such as CISOs and CIOs.
- Established public speaking and market-facing experience via conferences, roundtables, or published papers.
- Strong written communication skills with the capability to produce polished customer and market materials.
- Highly organized and disciplined in execution, able to set expectations and meet deadlines with senior stakeholders.
- Experience partnering with channel partners and distributors.
- Willingness to travel throughout the territory to engage with customers and teams.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI technologies to improve decision-making, streamline processes, and support business results.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience on the operator side in security or related technology functions.
- Knowledge of adversary techniques, malware types, detection, and avoidance strategies.
- Familiarity with structured enterprise qualification methodologies.
- Relevant tertiary education and certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, Security+, or CEH.
Benefits
- Competitive compensation and equity programs in the market.
- Comprehensive wellness support for physical and mental health.
- Generous vacation and holiday allowances for work-life balance.
- Paid parental and adoption leave benefits.
- Professional growth opportunities for employees at all levels.
- Employee networks, local groups, and volunteer initiatives to foster community.
- Dynamic workplace culture equipped with first-rate amenities.
- Global recognition as a Great Place to Work Certified™ employer.
