Role Overview

This position offers a distinctive chance to join Deloitte's Private Tax team in Sydney as a Tax Manager. The role encompasses leadership responsibilities guiding some of Australia’s most prominent private clients across diverse industries such as real estate, automotive dealerships, professional services, retail, technology, and high-net-worth individuals.

What You Will Do

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a positive and ambitious work environment to inspire excellence.
• Deliver strategic, high-impact tax advice influencing private businesses, family groups, and individuals.
• Handle complex tax transactions including investment structuring and tailored strategic tax guidance.
• Collaborate closely with Partners to influence practice strategy and drive team development and client satisfaction.
• Maintain rigorous focus on quality and ensure timely, effective service delivery to clients.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of four years' income tax experience within a Big 4, mid-tier, or professional/accounting services firm.
• Advanced qualifications such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Master’s of Taxation, or equivalent.
• Experience servicing large private groups, multinational corporations, and private equity clients.
• Exceptional relationship-building skills to engage with diverse client profiles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities demonstrating mature judgment.
• Self-motivated with a proven track record of initiative and consistently delivering results.
• Project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple client engagements simultaneously.
• Highly committed to team leadership, mentoring, and talent development through coaching and hands-on training.
