Job description
Overview
The role focuses on leading the development, upkeep, and governance of an integrated Operational Readiness (OR) master schedule. This schedule must encompass all key readiness activities, milestones, and dependencies, ensuring tight alignment with asset delivery timelines, trial phases, and official openings. The manager will serve as the definitive authority for OR scheduling, proactively identifying and communicating potential risks to readiness milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage the integrated OR master schedule using Primavera P6, covering all readiness workstreams such as workforce mobilisation, training, system readiness, SOPs, permits and licensing, FF&E/OS&E, trial operations, and handovers.
- Ensure alignment of OR schedules with project milestones, stage gates, and asset opening dates, maintaining coordination with PMO and delivery partners.
- Design countdown and T-minus schedules for asset openings, incorporating trial operations and soft launch stages.
- Monitor schedule progress relative to the baseline, identify delays and impacts on the critical path, and promptly escalate risks with potential mitigation strategies.
- Generate scheduling reports, dashboards, and forward-looking updates utilizing Power BI and Excel for OR leadership and governance committees.
- Collect schedule inputs from functional leaders and consolidate updates on a regular, agreed basis.
- Oversee schedule change management, maintain baselines, and document relevant assumptions and dependencies.
- Support workforce ramp-up planning by synchronizing recruitment, onboarding, and training timelines with operational readiness needs.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required.
- Possess between 5 and 8 years of experience in scheduling and planning, particularly in operational readiness, mega projects, entertainment/hospitality openings, or extensive infrastructure developments.
- Proven expertise in using Primavera P6, including managing baselines and handling change control for complex programs.
- Experience contributing to asset openings, trial operations, or transitions from commissioning to operational status is highly desirable.
- Professional certification such as PMP, PMI-SP, or equivalent is considered a beneficial asset.
