About the Role
Aventus is looking for an experienced Manager specializing in Microsoft 365 to lead the administration, governance, and security of the Microsoft 365 environment within a government-sector organization based in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. This role entails overseeing Microsoft 365 services, hybrid identity, endpoint management, compliance controls, and collaborative technologies, ensuring full compliance with relevant regulatory and government security mandates.
Responsibilities
- Administer and govern core Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
- Lead identity and access management using Entra ID, implementing Conditional Access, MFA, SSO, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and managing hybrid identity solutions.
- Supervise endpoint management with Microsoft Intune, ensuring device compliance and supporting mobility strategies.
- Implement and maintain Microsoft Purview solutions such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP), sensitivity labels, retention policies, and compliance frameworks.
- Manage Microsoft Defender for Office 365 to enhance security capabilities.
- Develop automation workflows and increase operational effectiveness using PowerShell scripting.
- Guarantee platform availability, security, governance, and user adoption across the organization.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and business teams to provide secure, efficient Microsoft 365 services.
Experience & Skills
- Possess 8 to 12 years of progressive experience in Microsoft 365 administration and engineering roles.
- Expertise in managing Microsoft 365 tenant environments at an enterprise scale including governance functions.
- Practical knowledge of Entra ID, hybrid Active Directory, and Entra Connect implementations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Intune for endpoint management.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Purview security and compliance tools.
- Advanced skills in PowerShell for scripting and automation.
- Understanding of Microsoft 365 licensing (E3/E5), IT Service Management principles, and change management processes.
- Experience working within government, public sector, or Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) contexts is advantageous.
