Role Overview

As a Manager in EY's Life Actuarial AXIS Modeling team, you will lead and nurture a motivated, diverse group of professionals, work alongside senior consultants and managers globally, and deliver high-quality actuarial solutions using AXIS software. You will oversee large-scale projects, maintain client relationships, and support long-term engagement success while collaborating with cross-functional teams in the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of AXIS modeling projects, ensuring high-quality results and effective solutions under minimal supervision.
• Support and train junior staff and senior members, maintaining clear communication and knowledge sharing.
• Manage engagement timelines, priorities, work plans, and reporting of chargeable hours.
• Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders both locally and internationally.
• Deliver projects aligning with EY’s commitment to quality and values.
• Communicate analysis outcomes with actuaries across global regions including US, Canada, Australia, Europe, and Asia.

Required Experience and Skills

• 8 to 15 years of actuarial experience, including at least 6 years specializing in AXIS modeling, valuation, reporting, or pricing in life insurance within consulting, insurance, or outsourcing firms.
• In-depth knowledge of US and Canada life insurance products and regulatory environments.
• Hands-on experience implementing IFRS17 or LDTI accounting standards is a plus.
• Project management skills with an ability to lead moderate-sized teams and engage multiple stakeholders.
• Advanced proficiency in AXIS software modeling.
• Strong presentation, documentation, and work review capabilities.
• Qualified or nearly qualified actuary status.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite; familiarity with data tools such as Power BI, VBA, SAS, R, Python, SQL, SPSS is advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications and Attributes

• Bachelor’s degree focused on actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or finance; professional actuarial qualifications preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for reports and presentations.
• Past international experience in markets such as US, Canada, UK, Europe, or Australia is desirable.
• Proactive mindset with strong analytical abilities and adept multitasking.
• Experience working in Big 4 consulting or recognized insurance organizations is beneficial.
• Keen on fostering collaborative environments and building strong business relationships.
