Manager, IT Database Services and Systems Support

As part of our IT team, you will oversee and optimize database services and systems that support critical banking functions, ensuring top performance, security, and availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the management of Oracle OS and SQL Server databases across various stages from development to crucial production environments.
• Configure and maintain database servers, monitor performance and system health, maintaining high levels of availability and security.
• Implement data modeling strategies to align development and implementation with integration and performance needs.
• Provide mentorship and share technical expertise within the team to enhance cross-functional skills.
• Support applications and online content services used in production and delivery.
• Manage capacity planning, system monitoring, maintenance, and identify trends to avert issues.
• Execute daily operations and support deployment processes for Windows and Linux platforms.
• Contribute to knowledge enhancement initiatives and handle technical documentation.
• Streamline and automate regular procedures, maintain issue tracking, and document all changes.
• Ensure compliance with established processes including change, incident, and problem management.
• Act as escalation point for user issues, collaborating closely with Level 2 Production Engineers.
• Perform typical database tasks such as upgrades, backups, recovery, and migrations.
• Provide support for Telephony Systems, including IPC NICE Recording.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance and assist with release deployments during off-hours.
• Exemplify excellent teamwork and project leadership within HL Bank Singapore and related entities.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in administration of MS SQL Server, Windows, Oracle, and Linux environments.
• At least 5 years in application support roles.
• Knowledge of SFTP solutions such as CrushFTP.
• Familiarity with Tectia Job Scheduler.
• Proficiency as MS SQL and Oracle Database Administrator.
• Professional certifications such as MCTS, MCITP, or MVP are advantageous.
