About the Program
The Manager in Development (MID) program is designed to cultivate promising individuals into future leaders within the transportation and logistics sector. Based near Chattanooga, TN, this full-time role offers comprehensive training, practical operational exposure, and mentorship by experienced professionals, all geared towards preparing you for frontline management roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in rotational assignments across departments including Operations, Safety, Logistics, Maintenance, Human Resources, Finance, and Dispatch.
- Acquire knowledge of fundamental processes such as service delivery, routing, fleet optimization, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate closely with supervisors and managers to enhance leadership competencies.
- Contribute to daily operations ensuring safe, dependable, and regulation-compliant transportation services.
- Engage cross-functional teams to support Safety, Fleet Maintenance, HR, and Finance functions.
Qualifications
- Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or GED; bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Experience criteria include 3 to 4 years in transportation/logistics or 1 to 2 years in supervisory positions.
- Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to quickly adapt to dynamic operational demands and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work variable hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime.
- Possession of a valid state driver’s license.
