Role Overview

The Manager of End to End Planning for Shoulders supports our Orthopaedics division, located in Ringaskiddy, County Cork, Ireland, or Leeds, UK. This role manages supply chain optimization, drives synchronized planning, and addresses imbalances using scenario and exception-based methods to harmonize customer service, cost, and inventory within the Shoulder franchise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Determine inventory control points and build replenishment strategies.
  • Collaborate with sites to align supply chain parameters such as batch size, production frequency, safety stock, order minimums, and lead times.
  • Develop and coordinate constrained end-to-end production and inventory plans.
  • Ensure precise requirement generation throughout the supply chain.
  • Create and evaluate supply scenarios to anticipate or resolve constraints.
  • Maintain inventory targets by aligning the supply and demand plans within the end-to-end supply chain framework.
  • Engage in Integrated Business Planning (IBP): partner with demand planning, validate supply plans, manage exceptions, provide insight into brand performance, and support decision-making for customer service excellence.
  • Collaborate on inventory management, emphasizing optimization and managing excess and obsolete inventory, including forecasting and bridging analyses.
  • Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) planning, including phase-in and phase-out lifecycle management.
  • Support long-range and business planning efforts with cross-functional partners, assessing supply chain configurations and identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Evaluate the capability to support various commercial scenarios including demand fluctuations, tender offers, and events.
  • Lead Value Stream Teams as a single point of contact, facilitating portfolio strategy delivery and integrated business planning cycles.
  • Drive multi-platform, product-focused planning teams to implement supply chain improvements and meet inventory goals.
  • Monitor key performance metrics such as On-Time-In-Full delivery, inventory health, expiration, and obsolescence.
  • Communicate operational issues or opportunities to higher management levels.
  • Comply with all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory company standards and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or logistics roles.
  • Hands-on experience with plant supply planning in multi-echelon supply chains.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across global and organizational boundaries using influence and negotiation.
  • Expertise in inventory management, supply chain optimization, supply planning, scenario analysis, IBP, and process excellence methods such as Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities within matrix environments and adjust to rapidly changing deadlines.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and quantitative capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to work flexibly across different time zones as needed.
  • Preferred experience includes knowledge of supply chain, commercial and financial domains, especially within healthcare or related industries.
