Manager - Data & AI Practice

About the Role

This leadership position seeks a bilingual (Arabic and English) Data & AI expert to establish and grow Protiviti's public sector data practice in Qatar. The role requires winning new business, delivering projects, and building a local team and practice, catering to ministries, government bodies, and financial institutions. A solid understanding of the Qatar market is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive business expansion by creating a robust pipeline for Qatar’s public sector Data & AI projects, from opportunity identification to proposal leadership and deal closure.
• Forge and strengthen senior-level connections with Qatar’s National Planning Council, governmental departments, and banks.
• Recruit and mentor a local team of data consultants, establish delivery excellence, and enhance the practice’s footprint in Qatar.
• Lead advisory services and projects covering data strategy, governance, management, and platform modernization initiatives, including AI components.
• Architect solutions utilizing Informatica, Microsoft Azure (including Fabric and Purview), and Google Cloud Platform technologies.
• Serve as a thought leader by representing the firm at industry gatherings and supporting the advancement of Qatar's data and AI policies.

Experience & Qualifications

• Over 10 years of experience in data and analytics consulting, with a minimum of 5 years at a Big 4 or comparable top-tier consulting company.
• Proven track record working within Qatar, especially with public sector clients.
• Established relationships with Qatar's National Planning Council, ministries, and banking institutions.
• Demonstrated success in originating business and securing engagements.
• Experience in team formation and leadership roles.

Technical Expertise

• Strong expertise in data governance and management, including frameworks, data quality, master data management, metadata management, and data cataloging.
• Practical proficiency with the Informatica platform components such as IDMC, Data Quality, MDM, Axon, and EDC.
• Familiarity with Microsoft’s data offerings (Azure, Fabric, Purview) and/or Google Cloud data technologies.
• Knowledge of Qatar and Gulf Cooperation Council’s national data regulations and government data standards.

Additional Skills and Attributes

• Fluency in both Arabic and English, in spoken and written form.
• Entrepreneurial drive and a mindset geared toward establishing and nurturing new practices.
• Ability to communicate credibly and effectively with senior executives.
• Relevant certifications such as CDMP, DAMA, Informatica, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform are advantageous.
