Job description

Position Overview

Based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, this full-time role focuses on developing and implementing category strategies to drive growth aligned with consumer, shopper, channel, and customer dynamics to succeed in the marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the exchange of category information between sales and marketing teams, ensuring category strategies are continually supported by data-driven insights.
  • Analyze retail audit reports such as market share and distribution, and regularly evaluate key customers' sell-out data to inform strategic trade wins.
  • Monitor and accurately report category spending within the country.
  • Define success criteria for categories within prioritized channels and effectively implement and optimize these strategies.
  • Oversee the execution of point-of-sale activities and planogram updates to boost product availability and visibility in both physical and online stores.
  • Lead the Integrated Commercial Planning (ICP) process to ensure cross-functional coordination and alignment on key category, brand, channel, shopper, and customer growth initiatives and activations.
  • Execute ICP plans efficiently in collaboration with relevant teams.
  • Understand channel dynamics, prioritize based on shopper-centric insights, and manage the appropriate SKU assortment for both physical and digital store formats.
  • Drive e-commerce channel initiatives in partnership with e-commerce teams and business units, applying category strategies effectively online.
  • Create channel-specific solutions and develop commercially viable business cases addressing future growth opportunities, leveraging category strategies to inspire customer adoption and support.
  • Enhance category selling stories and support new product developments (NPDs).

Candidate Profile and Success Factors

  • Possess a university degree in Marketing or Business.
  • Have at least one year of commercial experience.
  • Previous roles in Trade Marketing, Sales, Shopper Management, or Marketing are preferred.
  • Proven record of strong performance and business understanding.
  • A good grasp of key business functions and sales processes.
  • Experience in beverages or FMCG sectors is favorable.
