Manager Accounts & Finance

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Accounts & Finance Manager with 2 to 3 years of comprehensive experience to independently oversee complete finance operations. This role demands ownership, strong execution, and the ability to handle complex or undefined processes. The candidate will also provide guidance to junior team members while ensuring financial accuracy and cooperation across departments.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting tasks, perform ledger reviews, and uphold bookkeeping precision.
• Support month-end and periodic account closures with thorough reconciliations and audit-ready documentation.
• Maintain robust accounting practices involving sales, purchases, expenses, and journal entries.
• Ensure timely availability of financial data for management analysis.
• Oversee invoicing accuracy, credit and debit note management, billing trackers, and approval coordination, including procurement documentation.
• Facilitate customer account reconciliations and resolve outstanding receivables.
• Assist in revenue reporting, monitor collections, and conduct follow-ups.
• Align documentation throughout the sales cycle including quotations, purchase orders, sales orders, delivery, invoicing, and collections.
• Verify vendor bills, maintain purchase accounting accuracy, and manage payables tracking and reconciliations.
• Resolve vendor disputes related to rates, taxes, quantities, and credit/debit notes.
• Control purchase cycle processes from purchase order to goods receipt note, billing, payments, and reconciliation ensuring disciplined payable aging and documentation.
• Prepare payment proposals with required authorizations and maintain payment registers, UTR tracking, and beneficiary verifications.
• Oversee bank reconciliations, petty cash monitoring, and employee reimbursement processing.
• Support cash flow tracking and financial planning activities.
• Manage statutory compliance including GST filings, reconciliation of GST 2B with purchase registers, TDS coordination, EPF, ESI and professional tax compliance, as well as handling notices and escalations.
• Coordinate internal, statutory, and bank audits ensuring readiness, documentation, and resolution of audit findings.
• Maintain organized finance records such as agreements, sanction letters, compliance proof, and key system reports.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through regular reconciliation of system and physical stock to detect and correct discrepancies.
• Maintain rigorous Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) discipline and coordinate with operations and supply chain teams for control enhancements.
• Possess operational command over Zoho Books and Zoho Inventory platforms to maintain process accuracy, troubleshoot issues, and enhance workflows; familiarity with other Zoho modules is a plus.
• Develop and refine trackers, templates, and workflow mechanisms to reduce manual tasks, support automation with Excel/Google Sheets, and improve financial reporting efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 2-3 years managing end-to-end accounts and finance functions.
• Hands-on expertise with Zoho Books and Zoho Inventory is mandatory.
• Proficient in bank, vendor, customer, and inventory reconciliations.
• Thorough knowledge of sales and purchase cycle management.
• Experience in closure readiness and audit preparation.
• Strong GST understanding, including 2B reconciliation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication coupled with strong coordination skills.
• Advanced skills in Excel and Google Sheets with an orientation toward automation.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace products.
