Role Overview
The Management Trainee – Marine is a full-time, on-site role based in Tuas. The trainee will gain hands-on experience supporting daily marine operations such as coordinating safety equipment provision for vessels and industrial clients, maintaining inventory oversight, and assisting with logistics and documentation tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in ensuring adherence to maritime safety standards under supervision.
- Support senior team members in planning and executing marine-related projects.
- Participate actively in training programs focusing on marine products and services.
- Interact with clients and suppliers to facilitate smooth operations.
- Prepare elementary reports and contribute to process enhancement initiatives.
Candidate Requirements
- Basic understanding or strong enthusiasm for marine operations and maritime activities.
- Familiarity with Navy or defense maritime environments is an asset.
- Hands-on experience or knowledge of boat handling or marine equipment is advantageous.
- Motivated learner capable of quickly assimilating and applying new knowledge.
- Diploma or degree preferably in Marine Engineering, Maritime Studies, Logistics, or related disciplines.
- Effective communication and teamwork capabilities suited for an operational, on-site environment.
- Well-developed organizational skills with keen attention to detail and basic computer skills (especially MS Office).
- Strong safety awareness with a commitment to compliance to regulations and workplace protocols.
