Role Overview

As a Management Accountant at Clarus, you will play a key role integrating management accounting, business partnering, improvements in financial systems, and leadership responsibilities. You will be instrumental in providing trustworthy financial counsel and insights that enable business leaders to make informed decisions, with a particular emphasis on operational and capital expenditures.

Core Responsibilities

  • Deliver precise and timely management reports, financial analyses, and advice.
  • Illuminate financial performance trends, underlying factors, variances, potential risks, and opportunities to business leaders.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting activities for assigned business units.
  • Provide constructive commercial critique to optimize OPEX and CAPEX strategies.
  • Support compliance with regulatory disclosures, audits, and financial accounting standards.
  • Drive enhancements to financial systems, reporting tools, and workflows.
  • Seek opportunities to simplify and automate financial operations.
  • Train colleagues to proficiently utilize financial systems and procedures.
  • Ensure robust financial controls and the accuracy of financial data.
  • Supervise, mentor, and cultivate a small team fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Relevant academic credentials and experience in finance or management accounting roles.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of management, financial, regulatory, and tax reporting.
  • Familiarity with applicable accounting standards including GAAP and IFRS.
  • Strong organizational and planning capabilities.
  • Proven leadership skills, especially in managing competing priorities.
  • Pragmatic approach to ongoing improvement initiatives, including process simplification and enhanced reporting.
  • Sound commercial acumen with the confidence to provide financial guidance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement abilities.
