Makeup Artist

About the Role

As a Makeup Artist at ARRISE Live, you will be accountable for applying makeup and hairstyling while serving as an on-set standby for retouching during live broadcasts. You will ensure the flawless appearance of on-air employees throughout their shifts by adhering to company appearance standards. Additionally, you will supervise the stylist team, maintain product inventory, and organize the workspace in line with ARRISE Live's guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee the stylist team's activities during shifts, reporting directly to the Lead of Appearance and the Studio Manager.
• Efficiently organize makeup tools and products necessary for daily tasks.
• Deliver timely makeup and hair services to on-air talent in a fast-paced, live broadcast environment, ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Apply makeup and hairstyling according to organizational standards, including specialties like tattoo coverage and special effects makeup when necessary.
• Manage continuity of appearance by monitoring and retouching makeup and hair as needed throughout live productions.
• Create and maintain documentation for employee appearances prior to going on set.
• Handle inventory control for cosmetics, styling products, tools, uniforms, and cosmetic waste management.
• Ensure proper storage and usage of all equipment and materials used in the makeup studio.
• Communicate effectively with leadership to manage product orders and supplies.
• Maintain high hygiene and sanitation standards for tools and the work environment.
• Assist in training new employees on company appearance standards, including makeup, hairstyles, and uniforms.
• Contribute to loss prevention measures for makeup products.
• Prepare reports detailing the types and volume of makeup and hairstyling services performed.
• Respond promptly to all communication received during working hours.
• Document game host appearance details with attention to makeup, hair, and wardrobe specifics.
• Foster a positive, cooperative work atmosphere among colleagues.
• Maintain current knowledge of makeup products, trends, and technologies.
• Fulfill additional related tasks as assigned.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in makeup artistry and basic hairstyling, including work in photography and film.
• Strong ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of various beauty products and services, with ability to apply makeup professionally across diverse skin tones.
• Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Experience leading makeup tutorials and presentations is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and comfort using computers.
• Creative and artistic flair combined with a positive, team-oriented mindset.
• Submission of a portfolio, social media presence, or website showcasing signature looks is mandatory.
• Availability for flexible 24/7 shift work.
