Job description

Role Overview

Join Woolworths Supermarkets New Zealand as a Major Fill Operations Specialist where you will oversee and optimize key process flows within your assigned workstream. Collaborating closely with your Team Leader, you will drive efficiency and ensure the seamless completion of processes while adhering firmly to company standards.

Location and Work Schedule

This permanent onsite position is based in Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand. The working roster runs from Sunday through Thursday, starting at 4:00 PM and ending at 12:30 AM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and sustain the operational flow of assigned processes to support smooth daily operations.
  • Work cooperatively with Team Leaders and team members, employing swarm techniques to enhance productivity.
  • Ensure that processes conclude without interruption and comply fully with established guidelines.
  • Lead operations and stock management initiatives including managing deliveries, shelf filling, and stock standards.
  • Conduct on-the-job training, mentoring, and coaching to develop team members and promote a safe, healthy workplace.
  • Maintain store standards by ensuring packaging is shelf-friendly and effectively handle overstock situations.
  • Monitor and escalate operational issues promptly to the Function Lead for resolution.
  • Provide leadership support by stepping in as Acting Store Manager during scheduled shifts and engage actively in team collaboration programs such as "Better Together".

Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrates high proficiency in process excellence and pursues continuous learning and improvement.
  • Skilled in fostering collaborative partnerships across different functions and stakeholders.
  • Capable leader who delegates efficiently, motivates teams, and provides constructive feedback.
  • Expertise in regulatory compliance within the function and strong communication skills to clarify tasks and expectations.
  • Behaves consistently in alignment with Woolworths' company values.
  • Available to work at least four weekend shifts monthly plus a minimum of one evening shift weekly.
