Job Overview

The Maintenance Worker II role involves performing routine preventative and demand maintenance tasks on both the interior and exterior of the building. Working under general supervision, this position includes handling a variety of semi-skilled maintenance and repair duties related to facility architectural, structural, and mechanical systems to ensure safety and efficient functioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct general maintenance such as drywall repair, floor upkeep, and painting.
• Perform minor plumbing repairs and equipment maintenance tasks.
• Inspect equipment for proper pressure and temperature readings.
• Disassemble equipment when cleaning is required.

Additional Information

This position is classified under Health Shared Services and falls within the AUPE GSS Union. The role is full-time and located at Rocky Mountain House Health Centre with a multi-site work environment. The work schedule consists of 7.75-hour day shifts, two weeks per cycle with ten shifts per cycle, and on-call duties. Weekend days off are Saturday and Sunday. A driver's license and vehicle are required as transportation is provided.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 10 education or equivalent.
• Possession of a valid Class 5 driver's license.
• Power Engineer 5th Class Certificate for boiler support responsibilities.
• Class 5 ABSA Certificate.
• Residence within 20 minutes of the facility.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional qualifications as required may be considered an asset.

Compensation

Salary ranges from $29.50 to $32.20 per hour.
