Maintenance Technician

Role Overview

Join the team at Glass Bottle, a prominent Build-to-Rent property in Sandymount Strand, Dublin, as a Maintenance Technician. This role offers a career advancement opportunity within the expanding BTR sector in Ireland, supporting the Assistant Facilities Manager by overseeing day-to-day maintenance tasks across the portfolio.

Key Duties

• Handle and prioritize maintenance service requests, ensuring prompt resolutions within set SLAs.
• Collaborate with builders to manage and supervise defect repairs during the defects period.
• Ensure apartments are market-ready by maintaining high quality standards.
• Conduct regular inspections to help uphold community standards and appearance.
• Install and test fire safety equipment like smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, assist in emergency audits, carry out legionella testing with weekly flushing, and support Health & Safety risk assessments.
• Perform general maintenance such as shelf fitting, picture hanging, installing window locks, and facilitating resident move-ins and move-outs.
• Maintain external grounds to high standards and assist with parcel management and waste disposal coordination.
• Work collaboratively within the team to ensure the building meets or exceeds organizational expectations.

Experience and Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years experience in maintenance or facilities management roles, preferably with plumbing skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft tools and experience using management software in a professional environment.
• Willingness and ambition to complete industry-recognised qualifications, which will be sponsored by the company.
• A valid, clean EU driving licence is mandatory.

Working Conditions

• Full-time permanent position based on-site at Dublin, working a 40-hour week across 5 days including alternating Saturdays and occasional Sundays.
• Day off granted on Monday or Tuesday if a Saturday shift is worked.
• An out-of-hours on-call system is in place requiring availability for emergencies beyond the designated service.
• Mobile phone and IT equipment supplied, supporting lone worker safety protocols.
