Job description
Overview
We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Liffey Valley Shopping Centre in Dublin. This permanent, full-time role involves a blend of supervisory and hands-on technical duties, reporting directly to the Contract Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled Carpenters, Electricians, or Plumbers looking to advance their careers.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily reactive, planned, and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Promote environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives, energy efficiency, and continuous improvements.
- Offer technical support and escalate complex maintenance issues appropriately.
- Keep detailed maintenance records, logs, and ensure compliance documentation is up to date.
- Assist with fire safety strategies, conduct life safety testing, and facilitate building inspections.
- Ensure smooth operation of mechanical and electrical (M&E) plant and overall infrastructure.
- Contribute to minor projects, prepare reports, and assist with emergency procedures.
Requirements
- Certified Carpenter, Electrician, or Plumber qualifications.
- Willingness to participate in weekend work on a rotational basis, typically 4 hours Saturday and 4 hours Sunday; the frequency of weekend shifts is flexible.
- Experience supervising maintenance activities in commercial or retail environments.
- Sound knowledge of health and safety standards.
- Strong organizational skills, proactive approach, and effective communication abilities.
- Experience with Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) systems.
