Role Overview

Priory New Stead House, situated in Redcar, Cleveland, is recruiting a full-time Maintenance Person to join our team. This position entails working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8am to 4pm. New Stead House provides residential support to 17 autistic young adults and also assists individuals with learning disabilities, communication difficulties, mild to moderate challenging behaviors, and epilepsy.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the environment is well-maintained, safe, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing according to quality and statutory standards.
• Collaborate with the team to uphold Priory's minimum standards efficiently across the site.
• Conduct frequent interior and exterior patrols, confirming security by locking windows and doors as appropriate for the time of day.
• Perform compliance inspections such as fire alarm tests, bed checks, and vehicle assessments under guidance from the Maintenance Manager.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated proficiency in tool use and maintenance tasks.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of water, fire safety, and COSHH regulations.
• Experience with grounds maintenance and upkeep.
• Competency in entering data and managing IT systems effectively.
• Ability to respond to and complete reactive repairs.
