About the Role
We are seeking a diligent Maintenance Officer to maintain a safe, well-functioning environment at our Bunbury aged care facility. In this role, you will conduct routine and emergency maintenance, coordinate with contractors, and ensure all facilities meet safety and comfort standards to support residents, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day maintenance and repairs to keep the property in optimal condition.
- Implement preventative maintenance plans and quickly address reactive maintenance needs.
- Manage maintenance work orders and oversee external contractor services.
- Ensure the environment complies with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to creating a positive experience for residents through excellent facility upkeep.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in general maintenance or equivalent roles.
- Possession of relevant trade qualifications is highly preferred.
- Hands-on skills in building repairs and maintenance activities.
- Strong capacity to prioritize tasks, manage work orders efficiently, and respond promptly to maintenance issues.
- Solid understanding of safety protocols, compliance mandates, and safe work procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work autonomously and utilize problem-solving techniques effectively.
