Role Overview and Responsibilities

We are looking for a dependable and skilled Maintenance Millwright to join our facility on a full-time, day-shift basis. Your main duties will involve performing routine mechanical and preventative maintenance, repairing industrial machinery, and supporting the continuous functioning of automated processing equipment. Key responsibilities include:

• Executing mechanical and scheduled preventive upkeep on plant machinery to ensure reliable operation.
• Installing, maintaining, and fixing automation-based equipment independently.
• Troubleshooting mechanical issues with minimal supervision.
• Developing and updating preventive maintenance schedules using computerized CMMS software.
• Keeping maintenance tools and equipment clean, safe, and in operational condition.
• Logging and reporting parts inventory adjustments as required.
• Collaborating effectively with other maintenance staff in a team environment.
• Documenting observations related to equipment status and performance.
• Following all occupational health and safety guidelines at all times.

Qualifications and Skills

• Preferably holding a Red Seal Millwright License (433A).
• At least two years of experience as a Millwright or comparable industrial maintenance experience.
• Proven ability to work with hands-on maintenance in a manufacturing context.
• Self-motivated with strong initiative and able to perform tasks independently.
• Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Highly vigilant to surroundings, including personnel and machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Experience assembling machinery and components for installation.
• Competence in safely operating hoists and lifting tools.
• Strong organizational skills and time management.
• Good communication and leadership skills, with aptitude for mentoring apprentices.
• Certification in forklift operation and elevated platforms (Aerial Lift/Skyjack, Telehandler) is an advantage.
