Maintenance Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Manager to assume comprehensive responsibility for maintenance activities at a prominent medical device manufacturing site in Cork, Ireland. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this role demands leadership of a maintenance technician team, ensuring equipment reliability, and maintaining uninterrupted production in a strictly regulated setting.

Primary Responsibilities

• Formulate and oversee a comprehensive maintenance strategy encompassing machinery, equipment, and site facilities.
• Organize preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs aimed at optimizing asset performance and reliability.
• Lead, guide, and foster growth and development for the team of maintenance technicians.
• Manage the maintenance budget, control spare parts inventory, and handle vendor partnerships effectively.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives through Root Cause Analysis, maintaining adherence to all regulatory standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of five years’ experience managing maintenance operations within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• In-depth expertise in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems such as SAP PM, Maximo, or equivalents.
• A degree in engineering is preferred; certifications like CMRP or CRL are advantageous.
