The Hardiman Hotel, a distinguished four-star property located centrally in Galway city, is seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Manager to join its leadership team. This on-site, full-time position demands stewardship over the preservation of the hotel's historic structure, upkeep of contemporary facilities, and guest spaces, ensuring they meet exemplary operational and safety benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, supervision, and motivation to the maintenance department daily.
• Plan and implement both preventative and responsive maintenance tasks across the hotel premises.
• Manage the upkeep of plant systems, equipment, guest bedrooms, and public areas, ensuring optimal efficiency.
• Arrange and coordinate activities of third-party contractors and maintain scheduled servicing.
• Assure compliance with health and safety regulations, fire safety legislation, and other statutory requirements.
• Collaborate closely with hotel management and various department leaders to facilitate smooth operation.
• Maintain comprehensive maintenance documentation and champion continuous enhancement projects.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrable experience in maintenance management or in a senior maintenance position.
• Solid technical expertise accompanied by practical problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational abilities coupled with effective leadership capabilities.
• Capacity to function autonomously while juggling multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential for team and stakeholder engagement.
