Role Overview

We are looking for a capable and proactive Maintenance Handyman passionate about fixing and maintaining property standards in a fast-paced environment. Working closely with a dedicated team, you will handle various maintenance functions primarily at our Athens locations. Residency in Athens is preferred.

This role operates on a flexible weekly schedule with two days off and standard working hours from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, though shift rotations may occur according to operational requirements. Most duties are hands-on onsite, supplemented with some administrative tasks that require proper management.

Note: Visa sponsorship or relocation assistance is not available for this position. The annual gross remuneration for this role is €19,900. The position corresponds to an individual contributor level IC1.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out regular and preventive maintenance to keep properties in optimal condition.
• Perform minor repairs including carpentry, painting, and furniture restoration.
• Respond efficiently to maintenance requests and guest concerns.
• Supervise contractors during significant repairs, renovations, and equipment setup.
• Manage inventories of supplies and ensure maintenance tools are properly maintained and safe.
• Ensure all practices conform to health and safety laws, conducting routine inspections.
• Keep detailed documentation of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Support emergency system testing and recommend initiatives to improve energy efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with operations and housekeeping teams to enhance guest experience.
• Assist with operational projects and help train peers on minor technical tasks.
• Coordinate with the General Manager regarding budgets and timelines for major projects.

Candidate Profile

• Completed vocational training in a relevant skilled trade.
• Proven expertise in routine and preventative property maintenance.
• Basic skills in carpentry, painting, furniture repair, and a foundational understanding of domestic appliance upkeep.
• Familiarity with health and safety standards, including fire protocols, and comfortable conducting inspections.
• Accurate record-keeping for maintenance-related documentation.
• Skilled in promptly addressing reactive maintenance needs.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and project management abilities.
• Basic proficiency in English and Greek communication.
• Possession of a valid driving license is advantageous but not essential.
