Job description
Overview
We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our Maintenance/Engineering team at G.T. Magnetics Private Limited, specializing in transformer manufacturing. Reporting to the Plant Head, the successful candidate will ensure smooth operation and high reliability of automatic and semi-automatic production machinery.
Job Purpose
The engineer will oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance, troubleshoot issues, conduct root cause analyses, drive machine improvement initiatives, and plan maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly preventive maintenance schedules.
- Perform routine inspections to detect and prevent potential machine failures.
- Maintain comprehensive records of preventive maintenance and machine history.
- Respond immediately to machine breakdowns, restoring safe and quick production operations.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, electronic, and pneumatic faults effectively.
- Document breakdowns detailing problems, root causes, corrective measures, and preventive actions.
- Manage inventory of critical spare parts to ensure availability.
Required Expertise and Concepts
- Proficient with preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance techniques.
- Experienced in root cause analyses methodologies including 5 Why and Fishbone/Ishikawa analysis.
- Understanding of maintenance metrics like MTBF and MTTR.
- Knowledge of machine availability, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), maintenance planning and scheduling.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement practices such as Kaizen, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), 5S, and workplace safety protocols.
Preferred Experience
Work experience with machines in transformer manufacturing is considered an advantage.

- Educational qualification needed is Diploma, B.E., or B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics engineering.

- Salary range: INR 25,000 to 28,000 per month.
