Maintenance Electrician

Role Overview

We are partnering with a national maintenance contracting company with a stable flow of long-term projects throughout essential service sectors. They aim to recruit three Maintenance Electricians to join their Adelaide crew.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform reactive and preventative maintenance on electrical systems.
• Conduct fault diagnosis and repairs for lighting, power supplies, emergency systems, and general electrical infrastructure.
• Handle an average of three to four reactive service calls daily.
• Carry out testing, repair services, and minor component replacements.
• Complete job documentation, safety forms, and enter reports using an iPad.
• Prepare basic quotations and estimate material expenses.
• Communicate with clients and cooperate with other tradespeople within a compact team environment.

Candidate Profile

• Possesses a formal electrician qualification with around 3 to 4 years of experience following apprenticeship completion.
• Demonstrates strong skills in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Has prior experience in commercial or facilities maintenance roles.
• Is proficient with paperwork and mobile reporting technologies.
• Resides in Adelaide and capable of working autonomously.

Mandatory Certifications and Licenses

• Trade qualification in Electrical work.
• Valid South Australian Electrical Licence.
• Current CPR and LVR certification.
• Desirable: Elevated Work Platform (EWP) and Working at Heights certificates.
• White Card for construction safety.
• Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• Police clearance.
• Medical examination, post-job offer.

Working Conditions and Benefits

• Contracted hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
• Standard workweek of 40 hours.
• Participation in on-call roster.
• Company-provided vehicle with permission for personal use, mobile phone, tablet, and fuel card.
• Provision of all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Allowance for pants and boots.
• Compensation for regional assignments including Living Away From Home Allowance (LAFHA) where applicable.
