Role Overview

The Maintenance Electrician role involves supporting electrical and mechanical maintenance operations at an oil terminal within a port setting. The position offers personalized on-the-job training, mentorship, and performance reviews twice a year to foster continuous skill development and contribution.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and troubleshoot faults in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic equipment.
• Perform all engineering tasks complying with relevant Health and Safety regulations.
• Maintain precise and organized documentation of maintenance activities in both written and digital formats.
• Update computerized maintenance management systems like Maximo and Agility.
• Collaborate with technical and management teams, including Terminal Supervisor, Terminal Manager, and Group Maintenance Manager, to resolve defects, operational changes, or respond to maintenance alerts.
• Conduct maintenance on low voltage distribution including small power, lighting, emergency lighting, and perform fire alarm testing.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a QQI Level 6 Craft Electrical Qualification or an equivalent credential.
• Have, or be willing to obtain, a Compex Electrical qualification.
• Experience in a related industrial maintenance role following certification.
• Proof of registration with relevant regulatory bodies such as Safe Electric.
• Valid driver's license.
