Role Overview
We are seeking a dependable and proactive Maintenance Assistant to join our busy maintenance team on a permanent, full-time basis (40 hours per week, Monday to Saturday). This role entails performing both reactive and planned preventive maintenance tasks, ensuring the property consistently meets group standards and any issues are promptly addressed. Collaboration with various hotel departments is essential to minimize guest disruption. Responsibilities also include supporting property audits, recording benchmarking data such as meter readings, and managing stock levels in coordination with the maintenance manager.
Responsibilities
- Complete all maintenance work within the hotel in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure the hotel property remains maintained to the established group standards.
- Perform reactive and scheduled preventative maintenance duties.
- Collaborate with hotel departments to minimize disturbances to guests.
- Assist with property audits and record benchmarking data like meter readings.
- Monitor and help manage maintenance stock levels alongside the maintenance manager.
Core Skills and Requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in plumbing, electrical work, and decorating.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and practices in maintenance.
- Ability to prioritize workload effectively while maintaining a high standard of work.
- Professional demeanor with customer-focused attitude.
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
- Right to work in the UK with necessary documentation required before employment.
