Maintenance Assistant

Role Overview

Join The PIG at Combe as a Maintenance Assistant within a focused team responsible for ensuring the hotel's operational efficiency, safety, and upkeep. This role requires a proactive, hands-on approach to both routine maintenance tasks and assisting with renovation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate within a small maintenance team to preserve hotel functionality and safety standards.
• Manage preventative maintenance to avoid equipment or facility failures.
• Perform basic repairs including fixing damaged equipment and facilities, painting, and decorating.
• Support the Maintenance Manager in coordinating renovations and other special projects when needed.
• Maintain knowledge and application of fire safety protocols.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience in a related maintenance role preferred.
• Qualifications or practical exposure to PAT testing, electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, plant room operations, and health and safety are advantageous.

Working Hours and Salary

• 35 hours per week over 5 days, including weekends.
• Compensation ranges from £13.76 to £14.55 per hour on an on-target earning basis, inclusive of TRONC.
