Maintenance Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Assistant to join the team at Whitworth Locke, Manchester. This full-time position (40 hours per week) offers a salary range of £27,000 to £28,000 annually. The successful candidate will help ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities, delivering outstanding service and maintaining high standards throughout the property.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance duties in guest rooms, public sections, and staff areas.
• Handle repairs related to electrical systems, plumbing, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC).
• Inspect various equipment and systems, identify faults, and troubleshoot problems effectively.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from both guests and hotel personnel.
• Maintain strict adherence to health and safety guidelines and regulations.
• Support renovation efforts and assist with setting up rooms as needed.

Qualification Requirements

• Prior experience as a maintenance technician within a hotel or a comparable setting.
• Skilled in handling electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively with team members.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Possess relevant technical certifications or qualifications.
