Role Overview
The Maintenance Assistant, working full-time onsite, plays a key role in upholding the resort's operational and aesthetic standards. Responsibilities include performing routine inspections; repairing equipment and buildings; supporting preventive maintenance routines; and swiftly addressing maintenance requests. The position requires cooperation with various property teams, adherence to health and safety protocols, meticulous record-keeping, and contributing to maintaining the resort's exceptional environment.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Proficient general maintenance skills encompassing basic troubleshooting and repairs across diverse systems and facilities.
- Experience in maintaining equipment safely and conducting minor repairs and upkeep of property tools and machinery.
- Competence in building maintenance tasks such as minor carpentry, painting, plumbing, and support in structural upkeep activities.
- Ability to follow preventive maintenance plans and checklists to minimize breakdowns and prolong equipment and infrastructure lifespan.
- Strong communication capabilities for effective coordination with team members, accurate reporting of concerns, and cordial guest interactions where necessary.
- High attention to detail, dependability, and capability to work autonomously or collaboratively within resort indoor and outdoor environments.
- Basic knowledge of health, safety, and environmental guidelines applicable to hospitality and agricultural operations.
- Prior experience in maintenance roles within hotels, resorts, or property management preferred; vocational training or certifications in trades such as electrical, plumbing, or HVAC advantageous.
