Role Overview

We are seeking a Territory Manager located in Mackay within our Refinish team. Reporting to the Queensland Business Manager, the chosen candidate will focus on boosting the profitability of the designated territory by fostering new and existing partnerships. The role aims at accelerating expansion with key customers and discovering new business avenues to contribute to PPG’s growth in Mackay and surrounding regions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Meet monthly and annual sales targets and financial objectives.
• Manage debtors and accounts receivable according to PPG's policies.
• Identify users of competitor brands and develop strategies to highlight the benefits of Refinish and LIC Commercial Performance Coatings products.
• Support distributor sales initiatives and ensure correct product recommendations and applications while complying with EH&S standards.
• Maintain strong relationships with PPG staff and distribution networks.
• Increase customer and distributor market share and evaluate their growth continuously.
• Adhere to pricing policies ensuring required profit margins.
• Build and maintain robust connections with key clients and industry organizations.
• Spot opportunities and implement strategies to grow presence in underserved market segments and locations.

Required Skills and Experience

• Preferably possess sales experience, though not mandatory.
• Strong dedication to customer service.
• Technical knowledge of refinish and industrial paint products and their application methods is preferred.
• Experience with competitor products is considered an advantage.
• Trade qualifications in spray painting and the refinish industry are desirable, alongside skills in negotiation and presentation.
