Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for experienced Machine Vision Engineers to create, develop, and integrate cutting-edge optical and vision systems tailored for high-accuracy manufacturing and inspection equipment. The role emphasizes sub-micron alignment, defect recognition, and automated optical inspection to ensure the equipment adheres to strict quality and performance benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing vision systems by selecting appropriate cameras, lenses, lighting techniques such as coaxial, ring, or structured light, and integrating sensors.
- Developing and refining algorithms for tasks including pattern matching, edge detection, sub-pixel measurements, 3D surface profiling, and defect classification.
- Executing precision alignment and calibration methods such as hand-eye and camera-to-stage calibration, alongside real-time feedback control for motion systems.
- Improving vision processing efficiency, accuracy, and reliability under different lighting and factory environment conditions.
- Collaborating closely with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to smoothly integrate vision subsystems within the complete equipment framework.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Possess a Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Optics, Robotics, or related disciplines.
- Have at least 3 years of practical experience in machine vision system development applicable to automated precision machinery, such as in semiconductor, electronics, or medical device production.
- Technical expertise includes strong proficiency in C++ and/or Python programming languages.
- Well-versed in vision processing libraries including OpenCV, Halcon, Cognex VisionPro, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with 2D and 3D sensors, laser displacement measurement, and hyperspectral imaging technologies.
- Solid understanding of optical principles such as focal length, depth of field, and modulation transfer function (MTF).
