Role Overview

Shafel Tech is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to manage thermal coating equipment in our Chennai facility. The position involves operating coating machines to meet production targets, from preparing parts to performing quality checks and ensuring smooth machine functioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate thermal coating machinery aligned with production demands.
• Prepare components and substrates for coating, including tasks like cleaning, masking, and surface prepping.
• Configure, calibrate, and adjust machines to meet specific coating parameters and quality tolerances.
• Supervise the coating process to ensure consistent application, proper adhesion, and quality finish.
• Inspect coated items using precise measuring instruments to verify standards.
• Maintain thorough records of production metrics, machine settings, and inspection outcomes.
• Carry out routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor technical problems promptly to minimize downtime.
• Strictly follow safety protocols and ensure the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Work collaboratively with engineering, quality assurance, and supervisory personnel for ongoing process improvements.
• Keep the workplace clean, safe, and organized at all times.

Candidate Requirements

• Proficiency in operating thermal coating machines is essential.
• Ability to prepare and handle components for coating procedures effectively.
• Familiarity with machine calibration and adjustment for prescribed engineering specifications.
• Experience in quality inspection using precision instruments.
• Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills for mechanical equipment.
• Fluency in English and Tamil is preferred for communication.
• Commitment to safety standards and proper use of PPE.

Position Type: Full-time, Permanent

Workplace Location: Onsite at No.1, SIDCO Industrial Estate, Thirumdivakkam, Chennai – 600044, Tamil Nadu, India.

Salary: Monthly pay ranging from 18,000 to 25,000 INR.
