Role Overview
The Machine Operator position is a full-time role located in Dammam, offering a hybrid work setup where some duties can be performed remotely when suitable. The operator is responsible for managing and monitoring production machinery in line with prescribed procedures and safety standards. Key duties include machine start-up, shutdown, routine adjustments, conducting equipment inspections, spotting any anomalies, and working closely with maintenance teams to address issues swiftly.
Additional responsibilities involve examining product quality, logging production data, adhering to safety and environmental protocols, and maintaining effective communication with supervisors and team members to ensure seamless production activities. Cooperation with other departments to meet production deadlines and ongoing participation in training sessions to boost technical and safety knowledge is also expected.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Capability to safely and efficiently operate industrial machinery and perform machine operation tasks.
- Understanding of quality control procedures to inspect and confirm product standards.
- Familiarity with machinery operation, basic troubleshooting, and regular equipment evaluations.
- Effective communication skills for reporting, teamwork, and following instructions both verbal and written.
- Skillful use of hand tools for minor servicing, adjustments, and supporting equipment maintenance.
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in industrial or mechanical disciplines is favorable.
- Knowledge and compliance with safety regulations, along with commitment to company environmental and safety policies.
- Readiness to work in shifts, stand for long durations, and perform moderate physical tasks within an industrial setting.
- Experience in manufacturing, petroleum, or related industrial sectors is advantageous.
