Machine Learning Engineer

Role Overview

This Machine Learning Engineer position is based in Abu Dhabi, with preference given to candidates from the United Kingdom and Europe who are willing to travel to Abu Dhabi or Dubai. The role centers on designing and creating scalable machine learning models and AI-driven solutions to tackle complex business issues and enhance decision-making capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and work with large, complex datasets to resolve challenging business problems.
• Efficiently train and deploy a variety of machine learning models including standard ML, neural networks, and agentic models.
• Develop, train, and fine-tune machine learning models using the latest algorithms and frameworks.
• Construct production-quality end-to-end machine learning pipelines encompassing data ingestion, transformation, model training, validation, and deployment phases.
• Automate processes related to model training, testing, and deployment by employing CI/CD pipelines and MLOps methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning models into applications and deliver comprehensive solutions.
• Fine-tune specialized and large language models (SLMs/LLMs) and develop complex AI architectures.

Professional Experience and Qualifications

• 3 to 7 years of experience developing production-grade, scalable AI systems.
• Expertise in supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, or generative AI models such as large language models.
• Strong competency in machine learning system architecture design.
• Knowledgeable in model serving, API creation using frameworks like FastAPI or Flask, and optimizing model performance for real-time or batch inferences.
• Familiar with containerization and orchestration tools including Docker and Kubernetes; understanding of CI/CD workflows and lifecycle management tools such as MLflow or Kubeflow (MLOps).
• Experience in deploying machine learning models on cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• Educational background requiring at minimum a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines; Master's or Doctorate degrees are preferred.
