Job description
Overview
Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc., known for its YellaWood brand of pressure-treated pine, is looking for full-time Lumber Taggers to join their team in Millwood, KY. The role offers a competitive salary alongside a comprehensive benefits package.
Primary Responsibilities
- Handle loading and unloading of materials efficiently
- Organize and move lumber stacks as required
- Support assembly of fence panels and various products utilizing a nail gun
- Apply product tag labels to materials and merchandise using a hand-held industrial stapler
- Verify proper product identification on items
- Report any quality issues, shortages, or damaged goods
- Maintain inventory records and confirm item identification regularly
Candidate Requirements
- Preferred possession of a High School diploma or GED
- Previous experience in production roles is advantageous
- Experience working with lumber is beneficial though not mandatory
