Wood Automotive Group, a prominent automobile retailer in Alberta with over 40 years of experience, is seeking a dedicated Lot Attendant for its Advantage Ford dealership. With eight dealerships, a collision repair center, and an online pre-owned vehicle lot, the group attributes its success to its motivated team, offering competitive pay and career growth.
Job Responsibilities
- Keep vehicles and dealership lot clean and well-maintained.
- Wash, clean, and prepare vehicles to ensure they are customer-ready.
- Maintain a tidy and professional sales area and lot organization.
- Safely park and reposition vehicles to maximize space and inventory management.
- Retrieve and stage vehicles for customers, appointments, test drives, and deliveries.
- Regularly inspect vehicles for damage or cleanliness and report concerns to management.
- Conduct routine lot checks to verify vehicles are correctly parked, secured, and accounted for.
- Change and install license and dealer plates as needed.
- Assist in receiving new and used vehicles and correctly position them on the lot.
- Monitor fuel levels and help refuel vehicles when necessary.
- Support snow removal and clearing during winter to ensure vehicle access and lot safety.
- Properly manage vehicle keys, adhering to dealership procedures.
- Help the sales team with locating, moving, and prepping vehicles as required.
- Ensure vehicle presentation standards are met through merchandising support.
- Operate dealership and customer vehicles safely on property and as needed off-site.
- Complete documentation accurately and promptly.
- Follow safety protocols and promptly report hazards, damage, or incidents.
- Provide general assistance to sales and other dealership departments.
- Perform additional duties assigned by management.
Candidate Qualifications
- Highly self-driven with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
- Dependable, punctual, and capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment.
- Positive and customer-oriented mindset.
- Comfortable working outdoors throughout varying weather conditions year-round.
- Physically able to safely lift and handle objects up to 50 pounds.
- Qualified to operate various types of vehicles including cars, SUVs, and trucks.
Mandatory Requirements
- Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license.
- Clean and current driver’s abstract.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and Saturdays.
- Capability to meet physical demands and work outdoors in diverse weather conditions.
