Job description
Position Summary
The Loss Prevention Executive is responsible for patrolling the entire property to secure rooms and assist guests with room access, performing emergency response drills, conducting daily safety and hazard inspections, and managing investigations and interviews. The role includes monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, authorizing and documenting access to secured areas, supporting guests and employees during emergencies, responding to accidents with first aid or CPR if necessary, and preparing accurate reports while maintaining confidentiality.
The executive will also deescalate disturbances according to company protocols, manage safety hazards, handle interruptions and complaints, escort unauthorized persons off the premises, and ensure compliance with alcohol control regulations. Communication protocols involve using proper codes for assistance calls and providing documentation to employees.
Additional Responsibilities
Supporting management in coaching and motivating staff, serving as a role model, and acting as the initial contact for the company's Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy. The role requires adherence to all company policies, reporting incidents and unsafe conditions to managers, completing safety certifications, maintaining a polished personal appearance, safeguarding proprietary information, and protecting company assets.
Guest interaction demands courteous greetings, anticipation of service needs, and expressing sincere appreciation. Effective communication skills include professional verbal and written exchanges and telephone etiquette. Teamwork is critical, fostering positive relationships and responding appropriately to employee concerns. Maintaining quality standards is essential.
Physical and Operational Requirements
The job entails reading and verifying varied formats of information, inspecting tools and equipment for defects, and managing work-related data via computers or point of sale systems. Physical demands include standing, sitting, walking for extended periods, moving and lifting objects up to 50 pounds independently and heavier loads with assistance, navigating confined or uneven spaces, ascending and descending stairs or ramps, and performing fine motor tasks requiring hand-eye coordination. Additional reasonable duties may be assigned by supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent GED.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
- At least 1 year in supervisory roles.
- No mandatory license or certification required.
