Loss Prevention Associate

About the Role

Join the TJX family, a Fortune 100 company and leading global off-price retailer, at our Marshalls store in Cicero, NY. This role supports the District Loss Prevention Manager and Store Management by serving as a visual deterrent to prevent theft or dishonesty and wearing a body worn camera. You will foster a positive shopping atmosphere and uphold company culture, values, and safety for all individuals.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional presence at the front or designated area of the store as a visible loss prevention resource.
• Actively deter potential incidents of theft or dishonesty through observation and presence.
• Review and understand the Store Emergency Response Guide thoroughly.
• Wear the complete company approved uniform including the body worn camera.
• Greet customers politely, showing courtesy and respect.
• Respond to customer inquiries by directing them to management or customer service via company radio.
• Observe and promptly report any suspicious activity or critical incidents to loss prevention or store management.
• Conduct a closing safety sweep of the store alongside management team members.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Document incidents accurately using the AIIM Case Management system.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile

• Strong skills in both verbal and written communication.
• Exhibits sound judgment and good decision-making capabilities.
• Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work effectively without direct supervision.
• Efficiently prioritizes and organizes tasks while managing time well.
• Physical ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Experience ranging from zero up to two years in retail or security roles is acceptable.

Additional Information

The starting pay for this position ranges from $16.00 to $18.60 per hour, with precise compensation based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
