Role Summary
The Logistics Operator will support logistics functions by managing the transfer of finished goods (FG) from production to storage, and handling raw materials (RM) and packaging materials (PM) utilizing equipment such as pallet trucks, stackers, and forklifts. Responsibilities also include coordination of FG dispatch, maintaining accurate dispatch records, printing and applying export labels, and assisting with warehouse activities including stock receipt and issuing materials to production. Physical stock counting and inventory management are part of the role.
Primary Responsibilities
- Adhere to EOGL safety standards, ensuring safety for self and others.
- Weigh and count inventory accurately.
- Transport stock using pallet trucks and forklifts within the facility.
- Labeling, loose packing, stretch film wrapping, and palletizing goods appropriately.
- Manage movement of stock from RM/PM to production areas and finished goods to store locations.
- Conduct receiving operations of incoming goods in line with documentation and inspect mixed or damaged consignments.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the logistics and storage environments, optimizing space utilization.
- Handle dispatch processes including verification against production transfer notes and SAP stock listings.
- Manage solvents dispensing, issuance, and daily checks.
- Coordinate logistics activities with various departments.
- Oversee unloading and loading of vehicles and tankers, including coordination with security, quality control, and logistics supervisors.
- Operate forklift and stacker machinery across warehouses and logistic areas.
- Label local and export shipments accurately with appropriate documentation.
- Carry out routine inventory checks—daily, weekly, and monthly—and maintain related stock reports.
- Inspect floor and hood tarpaulins and vehicle conditions before loading.
- Participate actively in safety programs such as BOS and general safety initiatives.
- Perform cleaning and basic maintenance of forklifts and stackers; maintain maintenance logs.
- Record Hexane SRP stock and manage palletization equipment such as stretch film machines.
- Maintain dispatch and inward register documentation.
- Consult supervisors or skilled personnel as needed to resolve issues and improve processes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum education of High School diploma complemented by ITI or graduation.
- At least 3 years experience operating forklifts within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong internal communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to independently identify and resolve problems.
- Willingness to work in shift-based operations.
