Loan Officer

Position Summary

We are looking for a Loan Officer to assist borrowers in obtaining consumer or commercial loans by guiding them through the application process and closing loans successfully. This position blends sales expertise, credit evaluation, and loan application management from inquiry through funding.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate loan leads via inbound requests, referrals, and proactive outreach.
• Interview applicants to assess financial situations and pre-qualify loan requests.
• Gather necessary documentation and prepare loan applications for underwriting.
• Maintain clear communication with borrowers throughout the loan processing stages.
• Ensure all activities comply with lending laws and disclosure rules.
• Manage a loan pipeline and consistently meet monthly origination goals.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active NMLS license or an equivalent credential.
• A minimum of two years’ experience in loan origination or sales within financial services.
• Comprehensive knowledge of loan products and underwriting criteria.
• Experience using loan origination systems like Encompass or LoanLogics.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven self-motivation with a successful record in commission-based roles.
