Position Overview

We are seeking a Linesman dedicated to preparing, installing, repairing, maintaining, and patrolling electrical power distribution networks. This role involves responsibilities such as:

• Constructing, installing, maintaining, and repairing high-voltage electrical equipment.
• Responding promptly to electrical breakdowns and emergencies.
• Upkeeping poles, hardware, and electrical continuity.
• Installing supply and street lighting fittings, including pole hardware and crossarms.
• Preparing joints and terminations for both low- and high-voltage cables.
• Connecting and installing overhead electrical equipment and lines.
• Operating heavy machinery such as elevated work platforms and portable hydraulic equipment like drills.
• Managing material requirements for projects efficiently.
• Maintaining work schedules and submitting required reports.
• Ensuring all construction and installation complies with customer specifications and relevant codes and regulations.
• Keeping all necessary licenses and skills current for performed work.
• Exemplifying a strong personal dedication to health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Promoting a safe working environment and performing tasks professionally to applicable standards.

General Requirements

• Possession of a relevant trade qualification such as Certificate II in Electrotechnology or Certificate II/III in Electrical Supply Industry.
• Holding high-risk work licenses as applicable (e.g., DG, RB, WP, LF, C2) and an Elevated Work Platform (EWP) license.
• OHS Construction Induction card (White or Blue).
• Possession of an Australian driver's license, with Heavy Rigid (HR) license preferred.
