Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a Lighting Designer to support sales and project execution by delivering CAD-based lighting designs, managing multiple projects, and providing technical and tender assistance using software such as Relux or Dialux.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the Sales Team and other stakeholders to deliver lighting design projects effectively.
- Analyze and interpret CAD files to create lighting designs that comply with specifications.
- Provide lighting design solutions requested by the Sales Team within set deadlines.
- Manage and take full ownership of assigned lighting design projects.
- Support tender processes for sales activities.
- Conduct comparative assessments of ROBUS products against competitors through lighting designs and detailed reports.
- Offer technical support aligned with evolving business needs.
Required Skills and Experience
- Basic experience in lighting design using Relux or Dialux software.
- Level 8 Technical Graduate in Engineering or Design disciplines.
- Proficiency in working with CAD software.
- Self-motivated with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
- Outcome-driven with the capacity to manage large data sets and juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented, persistent, and diligent.
- Assertive, proactive, eager to learn, and ready to assume responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in the lighting industry.
- Completion of academic modules related to Lighting Design.
- Familiarity with building services.
- Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) is advantageous.
- Proven experience in office and industrial lighting design.
- Skill in creating lighting designs from CAD files.
- Good understanding of lighting standards, schemes, and calculation methods.
