Job description
Overview
Veda Lighting Design is a dynamic design consultancy focused on creatively utilizing lighting to enhance human environments. With projects across India and abroad, and offices in Dubai, Kochi, and Bangalore, the company is expanding its team in Kochi, India.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and manage high-quality project deliverables including 2D CAD drawings, 3D BIM models, and visual presentations.
- Create 3D visualizations using SketchUp, D5 Render, VRay, Photoshop, and AI-based tools to bring lighting concepts to life.
- Perform lighting calculations using Dialux Evo software to optimize designs.
- Prepare and deliver client presentations utilizing PowerPoint and Adobe Illustrator.
- Engage actively in all design phases from initial concepts through to final implementation.
- Coordinate design requirements with clients, consultants, and site personnel to ensure seamless and timely completion of projects.
- Collaborate with vendors for mock-ups, prototype development, budget estimations, and verifying Bills of Quantities.
- Maintain adherence to quality standards and project timelines within design teams.
Candidate Profile and Experience
- Opportunities for freshers and professionals ranging from junior levels (2-4 years) to senior levels (5-8 years) of experience.
- Fluent English communication, strong coordination abilities, and excellent presentation skills are essential.
- Proficiency in 2D CAD drafting, 3D visualization (SketchUp, D5, VRay), lighting calculation software (Dialux Evo), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Revit BIM software, and MS Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel).
- Experience in prominent Architecture, Interior Design, MEP, or lighting design firms is beneficial.
- Basic architectural lighting design knowledge or hands-on experience is a valuable asset.
- Must have a cooperative attitude and be a proactive team player.
Educational Requirements
Applicants should hold a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Interior Design, or Architecture.
