Role Overview
The position of Light Driver is full-time and based onsite in Zone 13. The role entails operating company vehicles safely to transport materials, products, and documents among warehouses, project sites, and clients. Responsibilities include route planning, loading and unloading with careful handling of goods, vehicle upkeep and cleanliness, compliance with traffic laws, and maintaining accurate delivery records. Professional interaction with clients, staff, and internal teams is essential to ensure efficient logistics and timely deliveries.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven experience driving vehicles, preferably light trucks; knowledge of truck driving is advantageous.
- Possession of a valid driving license suitable for light vehicles; a Class A Commercial Driving License or equivalent heavy vehicle license is a plus.
- Effective communication and customer service skills to interact courteously with clients, site personnel, and coworkers.
- Familiarity with local roads and traffic regulations in Doha and Zone 13, alongside a strong commitment to safety.
- Capability to understand and follow delivery instructions, schedules, and basic English documentation; Arabic language skills are a bonus.
- Dependability, punctuality, and flexibility to work as per project and delivery timelines.
- Physical capability to manage the loading and unloading of materials safely.
- Experience in logistics, construction supply chains, or related fields is beneficial.
