Job description

Role Summary

We are looking for an energetic and empathetic Life Skills Trainer who can deliver engaging and meaningful sessions to young learners. This role blends training delivery, curriculum design, and program coordination to foster a life skills education framework tailored for children aged 8 to 12 years. The trainer will utilize storytelling, games, interactive exercises, and reflective activities to make learning enjoyable and effective.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research international and Indian life skills and social-emotional learning frameworks to create impactful, age-appropriate programs.
  • Develop and continuously improve life skills curriculum integrating storytelling, games, reflections, and experiential methods.
  • Ensure content relevance to developmental stages, cultural context, and school requirements, supporting holistic child growth.
  • Conduct lively and creative training sessions in schools and partner organizations for students, teachers, and parents.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to suit learner age groups, environments, and learning preferences to maximize engagement and lasting behavioral change.
  • Cover essential life skills topics such as self-awareness, empathy, critical thinking, gratitude, managing thoughts, habit formation, resilience, and lifelong learning.
  • Establish trusting relationships with students, educators, parents, and school leadership, serving as the main contact for program delivery.
  • Preferred prior experience includes teaching English at primary or middle school levels.
  • Work collaboratively with counselors, educators, and experts to deliver an integrated learning experience.
  • Partner with marketing and research teams to enhance program communication, storytelling, and outreach.
  • Support sales teams by clearly presenting program outcomes and learning objectives to institutions during onboarding.
  • Lead internal workshops to develop facilitation, pedagogy, and curriculum delivery capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, or a related discipline.
  • Prior experience teaching English, ideally at primary or middle school levels.
  • Certifications or formal training in Life Skills, Social-Emotional Learning, Counseling, or Coaching are advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi.
  • Strong public speaking and facilitation expertise.
  • Knowledge of psychology and child developmental theories.
  • Proven project management and coordination abilities involving multiple stakeholders.
  • A passion for youth development and transformative education methodologies.
