Position Overview
Kelly Professional & Industrial is seeking a Licensed Industrial Millwright (433A) for a prominent food manufacturing company in Ajax, Ontario. This is a full-time onsite role offering a competitive hourly wage along with shift premiums and comprehensive benefits starting from the first day.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage of $44.65
- Afternoon shift premium of $0.55 per hour
- Night shift premium of $0.75 per hour

Work Schedule
The role operates on a rotating three-shift system:
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Afternoon shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
- Night shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Applicants interested in fixed afternoon or night shifts may also be considered.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and uphold high-speed packaging and processing machinery
- Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance routines
- Quickly respond to production equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime
- Maintain and repair conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and material handling systems
- Perform fabrication and welding repair work as needed
- Support maintenance and capital improvement projects
- Collaborate closely with teams in Production, Quality Assurance, and Engineering
- Adhere to food safety, product quality, and occupational health and safety regulations
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ontario 433A Industrial Millwright License
- Experience in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, packaging, or fast-paced manufacturing environments
- Proven skills in mechanical troubleshooting and problem resolution
- Hands-on experience with high-speed packaging and automated production equipment
- Competence in fabrication, welding, and machining tasks
- Familiarity with machine shop equipment including lathes and milling machines
- Ability to work independently while supporting teamwork
- Strong dedication to workplace safety standards
Preferred Experience
- Working knowledge of filling machines
- Experience with packaging machinery
- Expertise in conveyors and material handling solutions
- Familiarity with automated manufacturing equipment and PLC-operated systems
- Background in executing preventative maintenance programs
